“I’m going to be working for you. I’m not going to have time to go play golf.” –Donald J. Trump, August, 2016
While most American’s are growing accustomed to hearing lies from the president on an almost daily basis, there are some that are just, well, special.
President Donald Trump is on track to spend as much as triple the time former President Barack Obama did on the golf course in his first year in office — and to play more than former President George W. Bush did in eight years in office.
Trump spent Saturday at his Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, marking the 81st day that the President has visited one of his golf courses — and his fourth straight day at a club. A law enforcement source said Trump played with golf legend Jack Nicklaus, a longtime supporter of the President.
Obama played 26 rounds in his first year.
By comparison, former President George W. Bush only played 24 rounds of golf during his presidency and stopped playing golf after being criticized for playing while the country was at war, CNN reports.
Mr Trump has played golf every 3.7 days on average.
If you wonder if Trump is lying, just look at the facts. He said, “I’m going to be working for you. I’m not going to have time to go play golf.” Yet, he is on the golf course more than any other president, ever.
