As a country, we can either have tax cuts for the wealthy, or for the poor and middle class. We can’t have both.
Today, the USA is held hostage by the ultra rich, and they have conspired to use every available mechanism to enrich themselves.
The House of Representatives voted 227-205 to approve a tax cut bill that provides nearly half of its benefits to the top 1 percent of taxpayers.
Does money roll downhill? The republican tax plan’s “trickle-down” approach was popularized in the 1980s during the Reagan administration, though it dates back at least to a 1932 wisecrack by Will Rogers. And history shows it has a spotty record of delivering on its promises.
